HOW TO JOIN

It is the goal of the Housing Corporation and of our volunteer Alumni Chapter to promote a balance between the academic, social, and personal aspects of the collegiate experience. First and foremost, members of Sigma Nu are at UND to receive an education. Yes, the chapter house is a unique and fun social living environment, but it also provides a place to focus on academics. The chapter by-laws outline minimum GPA requirements to participate in social activities, as well as mandatory study sessions. Academic achievement is rewarded through multiple scholarship opportunities available from both the Chapter’s Housing Corporation and Educational Foundation as well as from the national Fraternity Headquarters. We believe that the social aspect of fraternity is an integral part of the college experience as well. Throughout their time at Sigma Nu, members enjoy a variety of events including Homecoming, sporting events, intramurals, and our White Rose Parent’s Formal which is held every spring semester. Members also participate in philanthropy and community service events with other fraternities and sororities, while giving back to the community. Finally, members will have the opportunity to hold various officer positions within the Chapter, further developing leadership skills for life after college.
